Loan duo Jon Shaw and Clarke Keltie have both joined Blue Square Premier side Gateshead about five minutes after returning to the club from Barrow and Chester respectively.

Both have headed North to play at the International Stadium for Conference side Gateshead FC up until 3rd January, with both players having their loan deals cut short to allow this move to go through.

In other comings and goings at Spotland, we have released Marc Manga and Scott Spencer from their non contract deals. They made a handful of substitute appearances between them, without every really impressing.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why we bring in a 20 year old reserve team player and let a forward who's wages we pay go out on loan??

It's all to do with ability unfortunately.
Jon Shaw has not cut it in L2.Keltie has but we have others in who can bring more to the team.
We are simply cutting our losses till release in Summer I suspect.
These 2 just did n't fit the bill.
