Simon Ramsden left the club today after opting for a contract at another club, believed to be Bradford, which was "way out of our financial restrictions."
The news comes as a blow, with Ramsden being one of the better players in this Rochdale side since signing for Steve Parkin back in 2006.
Ramsden made 124 appearances for Dale, scoring six times, with most of his goals coming against former club, Grimsby Town.
