LoftforWords.co.uk is currently the longest running and most established QPR fanzine on the internet. It started out life in 1999 on the Rivals network of football sites and developed into a well regarded fans' site under the guidance of first Adam McGrill and then Ron Norris and Simon Skinner. When Ron and Simon left Rivals to set up qprnet.com the site was run for a year by the legendary 'Ingham' before the current editorial team moved in.

Clive Whittingham took over as site editor with regular contributions from many of the busy message board's loyal posters - most notably Tracy Stent, David Price and Mark Jamieson. As the site developed further it was renamed LoftforWords in 2006 after an online vote and Tony Gibson was added to the team as a news reporter and editorial assistant. Tony was well known on the message boards prior to this for his excellent Lofty Heights blog and he continues to run that site alongside his work for LFW.

The height of the site's popularity in 2007 coincided with a takeover of the Rivals network by BSkyB who redesigned and relaunched the network in October of that year. LFW regulars and site staff disliked the changes enforced by Sky and a temporary message board was set up to keep the community together over Christmas of that year.

Come the New Year LFW was back, on the newly developed ClubFanzine network where it remains today.

Slowly the community is recovering from the series of site moves and set backs and many of the old posters from the original Rivals network have returned to the message board. The detailed match reports that provide a window into the world of QPR matchdays for the many ex-pat supporters who use the site have returned to the front page alongside Tony's regular news updates, the Bosh Times, news of former QPR favourites, the prediction league and much more besides.

After a six month absence David Price has returned as a match previewer alongside Tracy Stent and the site continues to move from strength to srength.

Introduce yourself to the message board by telling them your favourite cheese, or if you can't make the match keep the match thread open for thoughts, opinions and links to online commentary during the match.
