Twiggy gives the Fizz an insight into the recent bowling night challenge between the MKDSA and some MK based Ipswich Town supporters

Last night the MKDSA faced a challenge from some MK based Ipswich Town supporters down MK Xcape entertainments centre  bowling alley next door to City Limits.

The MK Dons team were the first to assemble, with the visitors arriving a little bit later. The Dons team was made up regular posters on MK Forums: OF Steve in MK, Bigdon,  NewBradDon, Twiggy, Rodge The Dodge, CowshedSue and event organiser Lisa.

The showdown could only begin after the necessities were sorted and money was handed over for two games and in return we received some stylish shoes (not). We had expected a them versus us scenario, but it was decided it would be a mix and match with the individual scores being added afterwards to see which set of supporters were victorious.

To add to the interest of the evening there was a late transfer deal done right at the deadline for such happenings. Ipswich arrived a player light and Alex, one of Bigdons lads was recruited by the Horses.

Battle commenced and it was a fairly even affair with equal numbers of strikers being shared with only the odd ball going astray down the sides. It was a griping affair that was being matched by the Germany V Turkey match on the TV’s, quite surprisingly almost everyone was cheering on Turkey.

The first game was replaced by the second game and due to the splitting up of the players no-one had a clue which team was winning which added to the tension and enjoyment.

The second game scores were added to the first and the final score was revealed and it emerged that the Ipswich supporters had amassed more points over the two games than the hosts.

We just had time to watch the closing minutes of the Euro 2008 Semi-final before posing for photos and to wish each other good luck for the coming season. I’m sure this will be the first of many MK v Ipswich encounters and we’ll get a chance for revenge.

The Fizz would like to thank Twiggy for taking the time to send us this article.
